At the corner of Sunset Lake Road and Stephenson Road, Peterson Station now has a coffee bar with a library of more than 100 games in the back. A few doors down, a counter-service Mediterranean kitchen serves tantuni wraps every day of the week. An Irish pub runs trivia on Monday nights. You can get to an ice cream shop with waffle cones made to order without moving your car.
Peterson Station has filled in fast this year. Look at the tenants together and they line up so you can spend a whole day there, from breakfast to dessert to a late game night, on one stretch of McChesney Hill Loop.
Here's what is open as of late October 2026, what each place does well, and how the hours fit together on different days of the week.
A corner that was planned for this
Peterson Station sits on 19 acres at Sunset Lake and Stephenson. The plan calls for 316 apartments over about 43,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, and Peterson Properties, LLC owns and manages that retail. Landowner Jeff Peterson started working on his vision for the site in 2014, according to the Dominion Realty Partners project announcement.
In that same announcement, Peterson calls the site "the trifecta location of where Holly Springs, Cary & Apex come together." He says the goal was "much-needed restaurants and service type businesses" for the area. That's a fair description of what showed up: a coffee bar, two quick-service kitchens, a pub, an ice cream counter and a handful of appointment-based services.
A small practical note before you head over: the addresses don't all agree on a town name. Burger Love lists its address as Apex, NC 27539. Limra lists Holly Springs, NC 27539. Same ZIP code, same row of storefronts, so if your map app gets confused, search the business name instead.
Morning: coffee, then a workout
The day here starts at The Perch, 1125 McChesney Hill Loop. It's a specialty coffee shop pouring Cat & Cloud, a California roaster that owner Jacob Williams chose because he wanted to bring something new to the local coffee scene, Western Wake reported.
The pastry case runs local. The same Western Wake story lists Bestow cakes and cookies, Apex Cheesecakes, buns from Lutra Cafe and Bakery, and scones from Guglhupf Bakery. The cooler carries Waynesville Soda Jerks and Tractor organic lemonade too. Midtown Magazine adds toast, salads, sandwiches and snacks, so you can eat a real lunch there.
In the hours Williams described before opening, The Perch opens at 7 a.m. on weekdays and a little later on weekends. Hours at any young business can shift, so check before an early run.
If coffee is your warm-up, Jetset Pilates is at 3141 McChesney Hill Loop. The studio teaches reformer Pilates, including a 50-minute signature class plus foundations and sculpt formats. The same row has two more appointment stops: Aura Nail House at 3129 and Evolution Salon Studios at 3161.
Midday to dinner: two very different counters
Lunch is where Peterson Station really started earning its keep this year.
Limra Mediterranean, 3109 McChesney Hill Loop. Limra is counter service with no reservations, open every day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with dine-in, takeout and delivery. The whole menu is 100% halal. Most dishes are built to order. You pick falafel, chicken döner, tantuni or beef döner, then one of four house sauces: Limra sauce, tzatziki, harissa mayo or garlic aioli. The Limra Platter and the Tantuni Wrap are the dishes the restaurant puts up front.
Limra is also unusually easy for vegans. Falafel is the base protein on platters, bowls, wraps and sandwiches at no extra charge, and the Çiğ Köfte Wrap is vegan as it comes.
Burger Love, 3133 McChesney Hill Loop. Burger Love is the plain-and-simple pick: eight signature burgers, build-your-own options, kids' meals and shakes. It's open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It's closed Sundays, which its site calls a "day of rest."
Those two kitchens cover the dinner question for a lot of households. One handles the night someone wants a burger and a shake. The other handles the night someone needs a halal, vegan or build-your-own bowl.
Dessert, a few doors down
Jack the Dipper, at 3137 McChesney Hill Loop, was listed as open by late June. It serves hand-dipped ice cream, sundaes, shakes, malts and banana splits. The waffle cones, including vanilla and cinnamon, are made warm to order.
That matters because it's only a few doors from Burger Love and Limra. Dinner and dessert are one walk across the same sidewalk, which helps on a school night when nobody wants to get back in the car.
After dark: games, trivia and a pint
The evening side of Peterson Station is what makes it feel like a hangout and not just a strip of takeout.
The back half of The Perch holds The Stack, a pull-to-play library of more than 100 card and board games. A $5 venue fee covers play for your whole visit. For longer campaigns, a private room called The Dungeon rents for about $60 for four hours. Before opening, the shop listed "Magic: The Gathering" nights, learn-to-play sessions, puzzling and live music on its community calendar.
"My goal was to create a place where people can just hang out," Williams told Western Wake. In an October 3 post on The Perch's blog, he wrote that the shop had recently passed its 50th day open. The pre-opening plan had it open until 9 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and until about 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, the latest hours of anything listed on this row.
Doherty's Irish Pub handles the rest of the night. Its Holly Springs page lists more than six flatscreen TVs, more than 10 beer taps, a covered breezeway and open patio, separate dining areas, and a kids' menu with highchairs and boosters. The weekly lineup is Monday pub trivia from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday prime rib night starting at 5 p.m., and Sunday brunch from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Which night works for what
Here's how the published hours and weekly events stack up. The Perch's hours come from the plan it shared before opening, so confirm them before you go.
| Day | What lines up at Peterson Station |
|---|---|
| Monday | Trivia at Doherty's, 7 to 9 p.m. · The Perch planned until 9 p.m. · Burger Love until 8 p.m. · Limra until 9 p.m. |
| Thursday | Prime rib night at Doherty's from 5 p.m. · The Perch planned until about 11 p.m. · Burger Love until 8 p.m. |
| Friday and Saturday | Burger Love until 9 p.m. · Limra until 9 p.m. · The Perch planned until about 11 p.m. |
| Sunday | Brunch at Doherty's, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. · Limra open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. · Burger Love closed · The Perch's Sunday hours were still being set before opening |
Sunday is the one day the lineup thins out. For an after-church or post-soccer lunch, Doherty's brunch and Limra are your two sure options.
The last piece still coming
The next opening on the row is Libations Bottle & Bev Co at 3101 McChesney Hill Loop. Suburban Living's October 20 roundup describes 19 rotating craft beer taps plus one Prosecco tap, wine by the glass, and six cooler doors of cans, bottles, cider, seltzers and non-alcoholic options to drink there or take home. There will also be an outdoor patio. That roundup still listed it as coming soon, and Libations' own site has been pointing to an October opening and taking sign-ups for updates. If it opens on schedule, Peterson Station gets a taproom to go with its pub, coffee bar and ice cream counter.
If you're making a loop around town
A few other Holly Springs additions from this year are worth a stop on the same errand run. Flying Biscuit Café opened June 1, 2026 at 161 Oakview Commons Drive, serving all-day breakfast and Southern comfort food. BIBIBOP Asian Grill opened June 18 at 169 Grand Hill Place in Holly Springs Towne Center, serving build-your-own Korean-inspired bowls. Its whole menu is certified gluten-free.
Coming soon: Lil' Ricci's NY Pizza and Pasta in the former Bass Lake Draft House space at 124 Bass Lake Road, a third Foxtail Coffee at Main Street Vista on the corner of Holly Springs Road and North Main Street, and Home Sense in the former O2 Fitness space at 256 Grand Hill Place.
If you've already got a regular order at Limra or a standing trivia team at Doherty's, I'd love to hear about it. And if friends or family are visiting and you want help finding where else in the Triangle has a corner like this one, that's the kind of question I'm always happy to talk through.
